Trackday Tuition and Instruction. Track Day Coaching. Motorsport Instruction
Alternatively we'd be happy to utilise your existing car and show you just what can be achieved from your current car.

Both Tim and Andrew were instructors and judges on the Channel 4 'Formula Woman' series which pitted novice women racing drivers against each other in a knock out style contest with the winners receiving a years racing. The competition was held at the Dunsfold circuit near Guildford in Surrey, better known for hosting Top Gear. Trackday Tuition at Goodwood, Brands Hatch, Snetterton, Mallory, Oulton Park
During your instruction we work with you to develop your confidence in the car, and also a technical understanding of the way in which you and the car interact. We believe that an understanding of this link is invaluable in achieving the ultimate performance when driving on track.

Techniques include:

Heal and Toe - which crucially balances engine speed and road speed when changing down the gearbox

Trail braking - the art of using the brakes to retain balance in the car right up to the apex of a corner

Left foot braking - a variation of above, and also applicable to paddle shift cars

Steering input - it seems so obvious but to get it right is an art, and you'd be amazed at the improvements that can be found in something that seems so fundamental

Racing lines - lines can differ on the same track for different cars, and certainly in adverse weather conditions

Gear changes - to develop a positive use of the gearbox, allowing it to do some of the work for you. Gear changes can also be asking a lot of the car mechanically and sometimes its important to understand what you're asking it to do - especially driving a historic or classic race car

Weight transfer - an average racing saloon car weighs in excess of 1000kgs, and you can make your life as a driver twice as difficult if you don't understand the implications of your driving inputs on the effective weight within the car.

Tyre wear and preservation - tyres are your only contact with the track and can be the difference between winning and loosing

Understeer & Oversteer - understanding the cars feedback to you can be vital in understanding car set up and analysing your driving, we also show you how to control it, and how to promote it.

Chassis set up - fine tuning the set up of your car to suit your driving style, the ultimate bespoke package

Driver feedback - the difference between a good driver and a great driver can be how they work with their team to develop a car, and do that a driver needs to understand both the physics of the car, and the best way to communicate that to those around them.

Junior Drivers:

Having competed in Karting and progressed through the ranks of junior motorsport both Tim and Andrew have great experience in working with junior drivers, whether embarking on making the transition from Karting to Cars, or taking that first step in to Car racing. Tim contested the first ever season of the junior T-Cars series in 1999 and we believe that makes our tuition of young drivers second to none - we can talk to you on a par about it, because we've actually been there and done it. Its an incredibly important time for a junior driver with a mountain of information to take on board and the right guidance and instruction can make a huge difference. Advent Motorsport have a T-Car that we can make available for Track Day hire.

We are also able to offer ARDS instruction for those looking to progress from trackdays to competitive motorsport.
